Lake Michigan Carferry

Cruise with your group on a living legend! The historic S.S. Badger is the fun and relaxing shortcut across Lake Michigan to the beautiful beaches and small-town charm of Ludington. There is plenty to see and do aboard the huge ship, including free Badger Bingo, free movies in the movie lounge, interactive games, two food-service areas, shopping in the Badger Boatique, or just enjoying the smooth ride in one of our many lounges. The 410-foot ship has a capacity of 620 passengers and 180 vehicles, including up to six motorcoaches. The Badger offers a host greeting, group meal plans, and itinerary help. The ship is handicap accessible via a stairlift for those guests needing assistance. Group fares are provided to any group of 20 or more passengers. Motorcoaches are complimentary except on summer weekend daytime crossings; driver and escort are complimentary for groups of 25 or more.

Ludington State Park

Located eight miles north of the downtown area, the Ludington State Park is comprised of nearly 5,300 acres of scenic sand dunes, ponds, forests and shoreline vista. It is situated between Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan with several miles of shoreline and beaches on both bodies of water. There are eight individual trails that cover more than 16 miles of Michigan scenery. The impressive Skyline Trail, with its elevated wooden walkway, offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the sand dunes. The park is also known for its canoe pathways, water dam, cross-country skiing trails, and the Big Sable Point Lighthouse.
